about

Curtain Call is a literal journey song about leaving my old life in
Manchester in the UK to start a new one in New Zealand where I was originally born and trying my best to make it as a musician keeping faith in my dreams.

On the flight from Dubai to Brisbane the plane I was on, (a Boeing
A380 double decker) it caught the tail end of the most ferocious and
biggest storm the world has ever known "Typhoon Haiyan" over
Indonesia.

This huge plane I was on was up and down with turbulence for about
5hrs and really did give you an idea of the powerful strength mother
nature can bestow on you... I can't imagine how bad it must have been for people on the ground in the path of it and he loss of life and destruction that it caused...And my heart goes out to all who suffered from the wrath of such a force.

All the while with me being more worried about the life of my guitar
in the hold below me than my own. Typical musician.

So yes quite the literal journey to say the least! I hope you enjoy
the song as much we did writing it and that some of you can identify with the lyrics too. Never stop dreaming. Thats how realities are made;)

Cheers

lyrics

Curtain Call

Man Alive
just wanna get things right
I'm tired of just getting by
In my life so far

So I changed the flow
It was time to go
Struggling to breathe
to make a go
of my life so far

So I got on the plane
to start again
Through the world’s worst storm
And straight out of the rain
onto dry land once more

Met by a friend
A real helping hand
Showed me around
In this strange land
And strange its becoming
No More

Chorus

Its curtain call
I'm tired of living silver
Now I want gold
I'm done Waiting

I feel the force
Pulled me back here
And right back on course
I'm done waiting
it’s time to start the show

Slow Mid-section

So many friends
And family behind
But it’s not so bad
cos they're still online
And waiting, for me

I hope someday
They'll come round my way
I'll wrap my arms
around each and say
I've been waiting
For this day

Chorus

Its curtain call
I'm tired of living silver
Now I want gold
I'm done Waiting

I feel the force
Pulled me back here
And right back on course
I'm done waiting
it’s time to start the show

So now it’s time
To find my feet
To use my gifts
to feel complete
In my life, once more

And so I leave
My old life behind
And hope someday
I will find
My destiny
Knocking on my door

Chorus

Its curtain call
I'm tired of living silver
Now I want gold
I'm done Waiting

I feel the force
Pulled me back here
And right back on course
I'm done waiting
it’s time to start the show
